Variety the Children’s Charity Benefits from Chefette Donation Box Programme

Chefette’s loyal customers and staff members continue to support the charities that benefit from the proceeds of Chefette’s donation box programme. Variety the Children’s charity is the recipient of the funds collected via the boxes from the last quarter.

On receiving the cheque Chief Barker/President, Ms Toni Thorne, lauded the Chefette family for their generosity to this worthy cause. She went on to say “the funds will go to our ongoing efforts with the Sunshine Coach, the Physiotherapy Programme for Children and to rekindling our involvement with the Variety Paediatric Ward at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.” Lisa Carter, Chefette’s Advertising Manager expressed sincere gratitude to the Barbadian public for the thoughtfulness shown in making contributions to the Donation Box Programme. “We are committed to assisting the less fortunate in our community and encourage everyone to continue to make their usual donations, especially in these challenging times, when unemployment and reduced incomes are affecting so many persons. We simply must continue our efforts to assist these charities which are doing their best to make sure that the children relying on their support, are taken care of consistently. A big Thank You to all who gave via the boxes at any of our locations.”

The donation boxes which are placed in all fifteen (15) Chefette Restaurants and two (2) Barbecue Barns are cleared every three months. These funds together with additional contributions made by Chefette’s Corporate Office are donated to one of the seven local charities each quarter.
