World Aids Awareness Day is recognised on December 1st and Chefette Restaurants, is making sure that both The National HIV/AIDS Commission (NHAC) and the AIDS Food Bank receives the financial assistance that will assist them in supporting persons living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.
During a presentation at Chefette’s Corporate, Lynn Armstrong, Acting Director of the HIV Commission received the cheques for both entities and said “The National Well Being and HIV Commission extends its heartfelt gratitude to Chefette Restaurants for the continued generosity through your annual monetary donation. Your support plays a vital role in advancing our mission to promote well-being and equality for all.
Looking to the future, with your assistance, we aim to expand our educational programmes specifically in schools in an effort to forge stronger community partnership. On behalf of our Chairman, Advisory Board and secretariat staff, we thank you.
Stacia Whittaker Manager of the Food Bank expressed her gratitude and said “The HIV Food Bank is always truly thankful to receive your yearly donation towards its cause. The aim to address nutrition or lack therefore of vulnerable persons living with HIV continues to be a daily reality. However, our efforts are made easier by the generous contribution from donors such as Chefette Restaurants. Thank you for believing in the cause and helping our recipients to have access to food and nutrition as well as dignity and health which, is a critical part of their HIV management and treatment.

Chefette’s Advertising Manager Lisa Carter said “we have been supporting the NHAC annually since 2002 and we will continue to fully support both entities and we are grateful that we can give financial assistance where it is needed most.”
