Chefette Supports the Barbados Red Cross Society

Chefette is continuing supporting The Red Cross Meals on Wheels programme with monthly donations of beef and potatoes to the Charity since 1975. These items help in feeding the elderly, shut-ins, the disabled, including the blind and amputees, at least five days a week.

Danielle Toppin General Director of the Red Cross Society stated, “For more than sixty years, the Meals on Wheels program, run by the Barbados Red Cross Society, has been consistently providing freshly prepared meals from Monday to Friday. These meals serve a variety of individuals, including those with physical limitations or who are housebound, such as the elderly, individuals recovering from recent hospital stays and those with disabilities that restrict their mobility. Our committed staff and volunteer drivers ensure that these meals are delivered directly to those in need.

The contributions we receive, especially from organisations like Chefette Restaurants Ltd. are vital for sustaining the Meals on Wheels program as well as other essential community services we offer. On behalf of the governing board, members, volunteers and staff of the Barbados Red Cross Society, I would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the management and staff of Chefette Restaurants Ltd for their generous donation and unwavering support. Your assistance is immensely appreciated and we encourage other organizations to follow Chefette Restaurants Ltd’s lead in supporting the work of civil society organizations, such as the Barbados Red Cross Society.”

Chefette Advertising Manager Lisa Carter said, “We are honoured for the opportunity to contribute yearly to the Barbados Red Cross Society. For the pass 51 years we have donated Beef and Potatoes that provided nourishment to the most vulnerable in our community. We see it a privilege to be part of their Meals on Wheels Programme.”
