Variety the Children’s Charity is the most recent recipient of the proceeds generated from Chefette’s Donation Box Programme. Since 2001, boxes have been placed in Chefette’s Restaurants to encourage loyal customers and dedicated staff members to make contributions that will assist the Charities involved in the Programme.

During the presentation recently held at Chefette’s Corporate office, Ryan Jones, Chief Barker of Variety the Children’s Charity received the cheque and said “We are profoundly grateful for this generous donation to Variety – The Children’s Charity. These funds will help us to continue our mission of making a positive difference in the lives of children who are sick, disadvantaged or living with disabilities in Barbados. We are thankful to Chefette for their continued support of our charity and its mission, and to all who contributed towards this cause. Together, we are making a difference in children’s lives. Thank you!”

Lisa Carter, Chefette’s Advertising Manager responded by saying that “we extend gratitude to our loyal customers and staff member who continue to make contributions to the donation box programme.

The Programme involves placing boxes at Chefette’s 15 Restaurants and two Barbecue Barns to allow patrons the opportunity to make monetary contributions. The boxes are cleared every three months and their contents, together with additional funds made available by Chefette’s Corporate office, are donated to one of seven deserving charities.
