The year 2020 has been a year of changes and acceptance, however for the children who sat the Eleven Plus examination this year these changes did not discourage them from doing their utmost best. Chefette honoured the Island’s top two Girls Ayobami Leon-Barker, Alaina Sobers and two top boys Micah Francois, Jayden King along with Chefette’s Staff two top students Kai Merritt and Tevon Cadogan on Monday 31st August at their Head Office on the Harbour Road, each student was given a laptop with sleeves, printer, Chefette vouchers and some Chefette promotional items.
La- Teisha Leon-Barker parent of Ayobami, top girl of this years’ exam stated; “On behalf of the parents and the students being awarded for their excellent performance in the Barbados Secondary School Entrance Exam, I would like to express our deepest gratitude to Chefette. We truly appreciate that despite the challenging economic times, your organisation was still able to present these young individuals with such meaningful tangible gifts. Our children will definitely benefit from the laptops and printers which you so generously provided. Again, we want to say thank you.”
Keisha Merritt parent of Chefette’s in-house winner Kai Merritt said, “ We praise God for the success Kai achieved. I am proud that he excelled whilst engaged in various extracurricular activities, which is testament to his discipline and dedication. We also want to thank Kai’s George Lamming Primary teacher Ms. Richardine Cox and lessons teacher Ms. Maureen Branch for their contributions to his journey. Finally, thank you to my Chefette Restaurants family for your kind gesture and continued support.”
