The Barbados Vagrants and Homeless Society was recently given a monetary donation by Chefette Restaurants, to assist with its on-going charitable programmes in Barbados. This donation is made annually, as a result of Chefette’s ongoing commitment to a financial agreement in the form of a covenant, organized back in 2011.
Founder and President of the Society, Kemar Saffrey, lauded Chefette for their ongoing support, and said “On behalf of the Barbados Vagrants and Homeless Society we would like to thank you for your continuous support with our Charity as we aim to alleviate vagrancy and homelessness across Barbados. The generous support of your company makes it possible for our charity to assist those in need and to make our mission a successful one.
BVHS aim to use the funding from Chefette Restaurants to assist the charity with the reopening of its Women and Children shelter, scheduled to reopen within the month of February. Chefette’s funding will aim at proving essential items needed to reopen the shelter.”
Chefette’s Advertising Manager, Lisa Carter said, “we commend the BVHS for its efforts in providing the less-fortunate with food and shelter and we will continue to give assistance to this charity as it aims to reduce the incidence of vagrancy and homelessness on the streets of Barbados.
