The Barbados Red Cross Society recently received its annual gift of food vouchers from Chefette Restaurants.  Since 1974 Chefette has been supporting the Charity with providing over 1.7 million meals for the less fortunate in our communities.  The assistance is in the form of monthly donations of Beef and Potatoes given for its Meals on Wheels programme.

Recently, during a presentation at Chefette’s corporate office Head Cook, Ave Lewis of the Society, received the donation and expressed gratitude to Chefette and said "On behalf of the Governing Council and Members of the Barbados Red Cross Society, I take this opportunity to express our sincerest appreciation for your donation. Chefette has been contributing to the Meals On Wheels programme for over Forty (40) years.”

Chefette’s Advertising Manager, Lisa Carter presented the vouchers for this year’s supply of Beef and Potatoes and said “Supporting the Barbados Red Cross with its Meals on Wheels programme is one of Chefette’s major outreach initiatives that has been going on for over 40 years.  We continue to cherish this partnership, as our aim is to assist in improving the well-being of the most vulnerable in our community.

At this point, the Management and Staff of Chefette Restaurants, wish to extend our deepest condolences to the Society on the passing of the Director General, Mr Edmond Bradshaw and encourage the Society to continue the excellent work they are doing in the Community.”
