The National HIV/AIDS Commission (NHAC) and the AIDS Food Bank continue to receive support from Chefette Restaurants. Since 2002 Chefette has been assisting local charities to make sure that they receive financial assistance that will assist them to support persons living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.
Recently, at Chefette’s corporate office, Public Relations Officer of the NHAC Fabian Todd, received a cheque from the local Restaurant Chain and said “The National HIV/AIDS Commission (NHAC) warmly thanks Chefette for its’ annual donation which greatly assists the children of our many clients. Every year the NHAC ensures that your contribution is used in the utmost positive way to meaningfully touch the lives of several young individuals living in unfortunate circumstances, who might not have been able to enjoy the upcoming holidays because they are affected by or infected with HIV. According to our National Strategic Plan for HIV 2020-2024, “Ending the AIDS epidemic and leaving no one behind in the STI/HIV response will create a whole new world for future generations.” Thank you, Chefette for bringing a taste of the holidays to these little ones.
Chefette also gave a generous donation to the AIDS Food Bank. Stacia Whittaker Manager of the Food Bank accepted the cheque and said “On behalf of our recipients - individuals and families infected and affected by HIV who are challenged by accessing basic food, I wish to sincerely thank the Management of Chefette Restaurants for their continue support. Your ongoing support continue to give hope, thank you.”
Chefette’s Advertising Manager Lisa Carter said “we are fully supportive of both the National HIV/AIDS Commission and the AIDS Food Bank as they continue the important work they do for persons living with and/or affected by HIV/AIDS. We are indeed happy to know that these persons, especially the children will in one way or another be given an opportunity to enjoy this Christmas season as a result of our contributions. We trust that both of these organisations are encouraged to continue the excellent job they are doing.”
