Chefette Restaurants Assists The Salvation Army

CHEFETTE Restaurants continues to play its part in assisting the less fortunate in the community through funds collected via Chefette’s Donation Box Programme. The most recent recipient is the Salvation Army, a charitable organization that provides and cares for the less fortunate in the society.

During the presentation recently held at Chefette’s Corporate Office, Major Darrell Wilkinson, Divisional Commander, accepted the donation and said, ”We recognize the value of your establishment in the Barbados society, not merely in the provision of meals, but your contribution to nation development through the reinvestment of funds to persons and organizations like The Salvation Army. Kindly be assured that The Salvation Army remains committed to the challenge of feeding the poor, providing emergency shelter for men on a short-term basis and meeting many other basic needs of the less fortunate. We are therefore gratified that in recognition of the significant contribution of the Army’s work throughout Barbados we are able to be a recipient of your generous financial support.”

Chefette’s Advertising Manager, Lisa Carter said, “We appreciate the generosity of our Loyal Customers and staff members who continue to make contributions to the Donation Box Programme. The funds collected along with a contribution from our Corporate office are being used to financially assist a number of charitable organizations who are doing great things to assist the less fortunate.”
