Chefette donates to the Salvation Army

Once again, another local charity has benefitted through an initiative developed by CHEFETTE Restaurants. This time around, The Salvation Army is the recipient of funds collected from Chefette’s Donation Box Programme during the third quarter of this year which is financed by the loyal customers and staff members of Chefette, with a sum of $4,000.

Recently at Chefette’s Corporate Office, Major Brenda E. Greenidge, Divisional Commander of the Salvation Army, received the monetary donation and thanked the Restaurant chain. Major Greenidge said “on behalf of The Salvation Army, we express deepest thanks for the recent donation. Generous gifts from donors like Chefette provide the financial and moral support needed to continue our mission. With your financial contribution, you have demonstrated your deep commitment to our work of feeding the less fortunate of our society and providing shelter for the homeless. Your support has played a key role in our success.

There is no way to fully express our gratitude. We at the Salvation Army are continually inspired by the dedication and generosity of donors like yourself who answer the call. Again, a very Big Thanks for your generosity. We look forward to a continuing partnership with you.”

Lisa Carter, Chefette’s Advertising Manager, stated “We are happy to associate ourselves with initiatives that assist in improving the quality of life of the less fortunate in our community. It is even more important, as we are still living with the Covid-19 pandemic and know that there are many families in need of assistance currently. A number of families for various reasons are finding themselves in need of charities like The Salvation Army to ensure that they receive the appropriate assistance.

We are particularly appreciative of the generosity of our customers and Staff who have been making contributions towards the Donation Box Program since 2001.”
