Chefette Assists Barbados Vagrants & Homeless Society

Since 2011, Barbados’ local Restaurant chain, Chefette Restaurants, has been assisting The Barbados Vagrants & Homeless Society (BVHS), by making annual monetary donations to the Charity.

Mr. Kemar Saffrey, Chairman of the society, received the cheque and said “The BVHS would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Chefette for its years of continuous support and for believing in our mission and purpose as an organization.” He went on to say “the funds received will go towards our ‘Ipledge’ Campaign. The purpose of this campaign is to raise funds that would allow us to renovate a building to act as a shelter for the homeless.”

Chefette’s Adverting Manager, Lisa Carter said that “The Chefette Family is pleased to be of assistance to the society and to contribute to their ‘Ipledge’ Campaign, that would assist in making their dream of another Shelter a reality.”

The BVHS is a charitable organization with a main purpose of providing comprehensive rehabilitative home-care, life Skills and Self-esteem programs for the homeless and vagrants across the entire length and breadth of Barbados.
