Top Achievers Rewarded by Chefette
The achievers of this year’s Common Entrance Examination were recognized for their outstanding performances by Chefette Restaurants, Barbados’ local Restaurant chain. The company which focuses heavily on investment in many social and youth related areas, has for over 15 years acknowledged the exceptional performance of the students. Recently at its corporate office, the two most outstanding male and female students on the Island were each presented with a laptop, printer, Chefette vouchers and promotional items.
Chefette’s Managing Director, Ryan Haloute said “We are very proud of the achievement of all these kids and congratulate them and all those who played a role in their development to this stage of their lives. Kids are the future of our country and we encourage them to all dream big and then aim even higher.”
This year’s top students received scores ranging from 239 to 241. They are Zahzara Barrow of Christ Church Girls with 239.87 A; Jameka Beckles of Hindsbury Primary, with 239.32 A; Neil Charles of St. Cyprian’s with 241.35 A and Liam Ward of Leacock’s Private with a score of 240.61 A. Chefette’s in-house competition was won by Malacia Mason who scored 235.05 A, she is the granddaughter of Doreen Martial, a Cook at Warrens. Abigail Haloute, daughter of our Managing Director Ryan Haloute, scored 233.38 A and placed second. Third place was won by Joyann Norville who scored 232.46 B, and is the granddaughter of Feliciana Norville, Branch Manager of our Welches Location.
Malacia and Abigail each won a laptop, printer, Chefette vouchers, and promotional items. However, as an act of kindness, Abigail gave her laptop and printer to third place winner Joyann Norville who was very grateful for the kind gesture.
